About
Advent is the four weeks leading up to the birth of Christ. Candles are often lit in churches and homes symbolizing the gifts and light that Christ brings into a dark world. It can be easy to only think of darkness as something evil or to be feared and yet, darkness can also be a place of rest and expansion.
Through visio divina, also known as "divine seeing," you'll be guided to view images with words and music. As you prayerfully consider darkness through this contemplative presentation you'll be invited to notice what God may be illuminating to you about this Advent season. There will also be a time for group spiritual direction to share your insights and receive responses.
This will be facilitated by Spiritual Director, Supervisor and Life Coach Jessica Lacy. For years Jessica took comfort in relating with darkness as a place of suffering and lack as there were many unmet longings she had been carrying. Last year, when she was feeling an increase of joy, those expressions felt too narrow and she began exploring darkness from other angles. She's excited to offer this reflection and trusts that it will meet you wherever you find yourself. For more information email her at jessica@nuosformation.com
Hope to see you there!
